Ely Folk School Class: Beginning Wood Relief Carving

February 11 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Wood Carving

In this class we will be using basswood, which can be found locally, to carve a typical Ely area scene. You will receive a set of carving tools, design ideas and step-by-step instructions. Wood carving is an art form used throughout history around the world. It is affordable, easy to learn and versatile in application. Carving gives you a way to express yourself creatively, make great gifts, and embellish furniture, cabinets or wall hangings with your unique touches. Your imagination is the only limit.

About the Instructor: Bob Wagner is a career teacher and has taught fly fishing in community ed for years and previous classes here. Bob has also been a park naturalist and is chair of Headwaters Trout Unlimited.
