Keeping the memory alive of Dorothy Molter, intrepid resident of the Boundary Water Canoe Wilderness is the mission of the Dorothy Molter Museum, located on the east side of Ely, just outside town.

Take a step back in time and imagine living off the grid in the middle of the wilderness during a tour of the original cabins of Dorothy Molter, the last non-indigenous resident of the BWCAW. Admission includes access to historic cabins, knowledgeable staff and warm drinks!  Both weekends of the Festival 10am-5pm. $6.50 adults $4.50 youth 6-17 $6.00 62+ and AAA members FREE for children 5 and under, museum members and military
