This class is an introduction into the world of leather hand sewing, Students will learn the basics of preparing the leather for sewing, using the correct tools, and how to make several different stitches, essential skills for making leather projects. At the end of the class participants will have the opportunity to make a pull string bag to take home.
About the instructor: Matthew Fedders has been working in leather as a full time craftsman for seven years and teaching others for the last five. He has worked with some of the experienced craftsmen learning the traditional ways of making leather products. He works at the Lobo leather store in Ely, his family’s business. Register Here
